As the staff and students of TED Rönesans College, we spend a significant portion of our day within the school premises. The well-being of all our students and employees under our responsibility, along with providing a safe learning environment, is always our primary principle. In line with this principle, we continuously work to evaluate and enhance our school's resilience against disasters and emergencies, guided by scientific research. By considering every possible disaster and emergency scenario that could occur, we aim to work with experts to create multi-faceted awareness and preparedness in both our school and daily lives.

As an educational institution, we conduct annual training sessions for all our employees, students, and parents. We integrate designated disaster and emergency response behaviors into our curriculum, adapting them to our school climate and culture. All these efforts are prepared to plan necessary precautions for different situations and to ensure we are self-sufficient for the first 72 hours following an incident. (See Table 18. General status of disaster and emergency preparedness).

We would like to extend our gratitude to our consultants, Civil Engineer Prof. Dr. Mustafa Erdik, Honorary Faculty Member of Boğaziçi University Department of Earthquake Engineering, and Seismologist Prof. Dr. Şerif Barış, Faculty Member of Kocaeli University Department of Geophysical Engineering, for their guidance throughout these processes. (See Table 14. Scope of structural and non-structural hazards and the status at TED Rönesans).
