TED Rönesans College Libraries

TED Rönesans College Libraries are contemporary learning centers that aim to develop students’ information access skills, support critical thinking, and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Our three libraries—serving preschool, primary, and high school levels—are designed in line with students’ developmental stages, interests, and academic needs. While students actively use the libraries for both curricular and extracurricular research, they also build deeper connections with books through reading hours, author visits, and creative activities.

Our libraries are not only spaces for accessing information, but also environments for exploration, learning, and inspiration.

Our Vision

In line with the vision of TED Rönesans College, the mission of our libraries is to serve as learning centers that inspire every student to reach their full potential, nurture curious, questioning, and engaged individuals who play an active role in the world of the future and strengthen intercultural understanding.

With their technology-enhanced dynamic structure, multilingual and inclusive resources, innovative service approach, and strong learning communities, TED Rönesans College Libraries aim to become exemplary information and cultural centers recognized at both national and international levels, positioned at the heart of education.

Preschool Library

Our Preschool Library is located within the kindergarten section of our school and occupies a 57 m² area. It is designed as a warm and inviting space where our youngest learners feel comfortable and develop an early interest in books.

Our carefully selected collection of age-appropriate reading and research books enables children to engage with books from an early age. Through library lessons specifically designed for the preschool level and fun activities organized throughout the year, students develop a love of reading while becoming familiar with library culture.

Primary School Library

Located in the primary school building, our Primary School Library spans approximately 200 m² across two floors and houses a rich collection of 12,000 books, meeting the diverse needs of our students.

To cultivate reading habits from the very beginning of students’ educational journeys, regular library lessons are planned at all grade levels. In these lessons, alongside fostering a love of books, students are introduced to fundamental information literacy skills such as accessing information, research techniques, and effective source use.

In addition, year-round reading activities, thematic days, author talks, and special events such as Book Week further strengthen students’ connection with the library.

High School Library

Located in the high school section of our campus, our library spans 200 m² across two floors and offers an inspiring learning environment that draws students in with its spacious and open architectural design.

With flexible spaces suitable for both individual and group work, the library caters to diverse learning styles. In addition to its rich print collection, the library offers a wide range of digital resources that not only support academic coursework but also nurture students’ intellectual curiosity and promote a research- and inquiry-based learning culture.

The library actively supports the development of essential 21st-century skills, including information literacy, effective source use, and digital ethics.

Our Collection

Our library collection includes reading materials, research and reference resources, periodicals, and electronic information sources in Turkish, English, French, German, Spanish, and Russian.

Our electronic resources include databases such as TumbleBook Library, Teen BookCloud, Britannica, EBSCO, and SpringerLink, as well as open-access online databases, journals, encyclopedias, and dictionaries. In addition, we provide online resources that support students’ coursework and a variety of supplementary materials for teachers.

Library Services

At TED Rönesans College, all students and staff are natural members of our libraries. Students may use their designated level library during breaks and free periods throughout their education.

Our library team works in close collaboration with teachers to support the learning process through library lessons and various activities. These lessons and activities, planned according to grade levels, aim to develop core information literacy skills such as effective library use, ethical use of information, citation practices, and bibliography creation.

Through reading activities organized throughout the year, students are encouraged to develop a love of reading from an early age and to carry this habit into adulthood.
