eTwinning “Postcards Without Borders”

eTwinning is a project and collaboration platform operating under the European Commission and the Directorate General of Innovation and Educational Technologies of the Ministry of National Education. During the 2025-2026 Academic Year, the “Postcards Without Borders” project is being carried out at our school by the Second Foreign Languages Department as part of the European Day of Languages activities.

This collaborative project has brought together more than thirty schools across Europe for a creative postcard exchange to celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity. Students created handmade postcards by selecting a word they found meaningful in their mother tongue. They then experienced multilingual communication by providing descriptions of these words in English and their second foreign languages—French, German, Spanish, or Russian.

In line with the core objectives of the Second Foreign Languages Department, the project encouraged students to use foreign languages in real-life contexts and enabled them to gain authentic communication experience in an international environment.
